The Food & Drink Exporters Association (FDEA) brings together extensive experience and expertise in international business development, event management, training, company mentoring and business advisory work to support members in their export activities.
Supported by UKTI and with a management committee made up of experienced exporters, FDEA delivers services of real benefit to members including:

Electronics Yorkshire - supporting the electronics industry . . . EY receives funding from Yorkshire Forward and European Union ERDF. It is a not for profit company with a board of directors, drawn from the region's electronics industry, who serve on an independent non-executive basis.
In 1999 the company established the Textile Centre of Excellence, a £2 million development located on Leeds Road in Huddersfield, providing a wide range of 'state of the art' textile and clothing training and production facilities including:
The 20,000 sq. ft. Centre offers quality assured, flexible training at all levels from introductory courses and Apprenticeships to training for technicians and managers. A range of professional services is also offered including Occupational Health, Environmental and Health and Safety services provided by the Centre's in-house expert team. The Centre, which employs 35 staff, is a BS EN ISO 9001: 2000 Standard company and is a recognised 'Investor in People'. The Centre has over 50 member companies and membership is rising. The Centre also houses a 'Design Incubator', launched in October 2004, where new businesses including the region's best textile and fashion design graduates are assisted to start up in a purpose-built unit.
